This bar-esque restaurant with a few different counters (not sure if the right word to describe) caught our attention and we made it a reality to come back for dinner. There was a meat counter for steaks, a sandwich counter, a burger joint, an oyster bar and boozey bars.

I don’t think Old Malaya is a very well known place: I’ve never seen or heard just about anything about this colonial-esque complex. Situated along Jalan Raja Chulan, under the shadow of KL Tower is a small strip of bars and restaurants. My family and I visited Pier 12 Seafood Tavern at the far end of Old Malaya for my birthday earlier this week (happy 24th, me) after discovering it on The Entertainer. The Entertainer is a ‘subscription’ that allows you to get Buy 1 Free 1 deals off menu items at partner restaurants. Maybe I’ll blog about my Entertainer experience another time.
